Jim Wilmer, Ph.D.

Dr. Jim WilmerJames L. Wilmer, Ph. D. is Chief Science Officer at Market America and has been employed by the company for over 15 years. He earned a doctorate from Cornell University in environmental toxicology (1991), a master of science in biology from East Tennessee State University (1974), and a bachelor of science from Wofford College (1972). He completed a 3-year post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences working in the area of chemical-induced proinflammatory cytokines derived from skin and liver. He worked as a research cytogeneticist for Oak Ridge Associated Universities, Chemical Industry Institute of Toxicology, and Bristol Myers Company. Dr. Wilmer has 44 peer-reviewed publications in journals, including Cancer Research, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Mutation Research, Environmental Mutagenesis, Cell Biology and Toxicology, Cytogenetics and Cell Genetics, Angiology, and Phytotherapy Research.

Mark Lange, Ph.D.

Dr. Mark LangeDr. Mark Lange is Market America’s Director of Quality Control. He maintains and ensures compliance with federal and international regulations regarding the manufacturing, labeling, bottling and storage of all product lines. In addition, Dr. Lange assists in the licensing of product in foreign countries, performs vendor inspections and develops systems to ensure product quality and compliance. Dr. Lange received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Tennessee in 1988.

Crystal Shelton

Crystal Shelton is a Sr. Scientific Researcher at Market America and has been in the Scientific Affairs department for 10 years. Her primary focus is researching and developing new products that are efficacious, innovative and safe, while also updating existing formulations to reflect ongoing research. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Salem College in Winston Salem, NC.

Theresa Greenwell

Theresa Greenwell is a Scientific Researcher at Market America. As a member of the Scientific Affairs team, she is responsible for the researching and developing of new product ideas, retaining the efficacy of long-standing products, ensuring label compliance with federal and international regulations, and performing as a corporate speaker. She works closely with the international markets, especially those of Taiwan and Hong Kong. Theresa received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2002. Before joining the Scientific Affairs Department at Market America in 2006, Theresa worked as a Nutritionist in family health.
